Roberta MacIntyre is seeking a seat on the South Lake County Fire Protection District Board of Directors. She brings more than 35 years of fire service experience, beginning as a volunteer firefighter and later serving in career fire suppression before focusing her work on fire prevention and community safety. She went on to serve as Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal for the County of Sonoma, where she built a reputation for practical leadership, public education, and collaboration across agencies. In retirement, she continues her service as a Board Member of Fire Safe Sonoma, helping communities strengthen wildfire preparedness through home hardening, defensible space education, and risk-reduction programs. Roberta is running to help South Lake County Fire Protection District strengthen wildfire resilience, support firefighters and volunteers, and maintain transparent, community-focused governance.

People in Lake County value leaders who show up, pay attention, and take the responsibility of public service seriously. On a fire district board, that means asking good questions, making sound decisions, honoring transparency, and keeping the district mission front and center. Roberta MacIntyre has the opportunity to represent exactly that kind of leadership—practical, trustworthy, and rooted in service to the community.
At a time when South Lake County needs strong local stewardship, many residents will welcome the chance to support a board member who can help keep the district focused on safety, accountability, and the well-being of the communities it serves. That is why Lake County will love having Roberta MacIntyre on the South Lake County Fire District Board.
